นางไม้ - Nang Mai

Inspired by the Thai myth of นางไม้, female spirits believed to dwell in trees - this series aims to explore the solidarity between female and eco bodies, both of which are objectified and violated by the patriarchy in similar ways. Each chlorophyll prints were created through photo negatives and sunlight, then reproduced into a photograph where I recontextualized the prints against natural backdrops.

The photographs were guided by a cosmic horror lens where both the female and eco bodies are introduced as alien and unknowable to the audience and by that extension un-ownable.
